Since 1880
The Irish FA
Founded in Belfast in 1880, the Irish Football Association is the world's fourth-oldest football association and the governing body for football in Northern Ireland.
We run the Northern Ireland international teams, organise cup competitions including the Irish Cup, and support the clubs, coaches, referees and volunteers who make the game happen every week — from grassroots to the National Stadium at Windsor Park.
As one of the five permanent members of the International Football Association Board, the Irish FA also helps set the Laws of the Game played around the world.
