Signing in & your account
How does signing in work? Where’s my password?
There isn’t one! Your Irish FA account is a secure fan ID — no passwords or emails to forget or reset. Create one in seconds, or if you have the Irish FA app, choose “Sign in with your phone” and scan the code. It’s built on Nostr, an open standard, so if you already use Primal, Damus, Amethyst or a Nostr browser extension you can sign in with your existing key.
What’s my recovery key?
When you create your account we give you a recovery key. It’s the only way back into your account on a new device, so save it in your password manager or download the backup — and never share it with anyone, including us. We never see it, so we can’t reset it. (Nostr users: it’s your nsec.)
What’s my Fan ID?
Your Fan ID is your public account number — it’s safe to share, for example so a friend can send you a ticket. You’ll find it at the top of My tickets. (Technically it’s a Nostr npub.)
What’s the IFA wallet?
When you first sign in we create a demo Lightning wallet with 200,000 sats — enough for a few matches — so you can pay for tickets in one tap. It’s the same wallet you’ll see in the Irish FA app. (Demo sats — no real money.)
Buying & paying
How do I pay with Lightning?
Pick your seats and we’ll hold them for 10 minutes while you pay. Tap “Pay from my IFA wallet”, or scan the QR invoice with any Lightning wallet. Payment lands in seconds.
Are there booking fees?
No. The price you see — in sats, with a rough £ guide — is the price you pay.
Who gets concession and junior prices?
Concession is for fans aged 65+ and students. Junior is for under-16s. The Family section in the North Lower keeps families together at our best-value adult price.
A match is sold out — what now?
Join the waiting list on the match page. Returned tickets are offered to the list in the order people joined.
Your tickets
Where are my tickets?
Instantly in My tickets and the Irish FA app, each with a QR code for the turnstile. No PDFs, no downloads, no waiting for activation.
Can I give my ticket to a friend?
Yes — open My tickets, choose “Send to a friend” and enter their Fan ID. It’s instant: they get a fresh QR and yours stops working.
I can’t make the match. Can I get a refund?
Tickets aren’t refunded if you can’t attend, but you can send your ticket to a friend. If a match is postponed your ticket is valid for the new date; if it’s cancelled, refunds go back to your IFA wallet.
Away days, points & the Campaign Package
How do I get away tickets?
Register your interest (1–4 tickets) on the away match page while the window is open. When it closes we rank applications by loyalty points, then by when you applied, and never split a group. Successful fans get tickets straight into their account.
How do loyalty points work?
You earn 10 points for each ticket purchase and 25 points for every match you attend. You can see your total in My tickets.
What’s in the Campaign Package?
A seat for every home EURO 2028 qualifier at Windsor Park (March–November 2027), plus priority booking before general sale. See the package.
Accessibility
How do I book accessible seating?
Send an accessibility request for the match with a note of your evidence (e.g. a PIP or DLA letter, or a doctor’s letter — a Blue Badge alone isn’t enough). Once approved you can book accessible seats, and an essential companion goes free.
